Should I up my dosage of anti-anxiety medication?
I know this is ultimately a question for my doctor, but I’m wondering if it will help with some problems I have or if it’s untreatable.
I have a hard time leaving my house because I feel like something bad will happen.
I can’t lock the door when I use the restroom because I feel like something bad will happen and no one will get to me.
I can’t go to the beach because I’m afraid of long distance traveling.
When more than four people are at my house, I get panic attacks.
Every time I drive, I see car accidents in my head and I feel like “it’s a sign.”
I won’t allow my children in daycare because I’m afraid something bad will happen…and I’m considering home schooling…but I don’t want to deprive them of social interaction.
I’m wondering if these are characteristics of an overly concerned person…or if this is caused by a large amount of anxiety. I do feel anxious, but maybe that’s just normal for a person like me…or maybe it’s not. I know, I seem psycho.
if the medication you are taking has helped a bit and is at a low dose, maybe you do need an increase. if the medication isnt working at all, you may need to try a new med altogether. sounds like you have some OCD going on.

Why does even thinking about him make me feel ill?
My best friend and I have had a dramatic couple of years. We had an argument, he moved out of the country rather than deal with it (immature, I know), and the next year was full of back and forth blaming and so forth.
He’s back in the country, and we’ve mostly fixed up our friendship. The trouble is that every time I think about him or see him, I practically have an anxiety attack. I feel nauseous, I sweat, I can’t breathe, etc. I think it’s mostly a buildup of nerves, since most of our interactions for a long period of time were so stressful. It doesn’t make much sense, though, and it’s driving me absolutely bonkers.
Not only is he my best friend, but he’s my fiance’s cousin, so it’s not like he’s going to go away.
Why is this happening? What can I do about it?
could it be guilt?
i think you should talk to him. you probably feel uncomfortable and don’t really want to be around him.
you can forgive, but sometimes, your sub-conscience doesn’t allow you to move on if you aren’t ready…

can a 12 year old have panic/anxiety attacks?
My 12 year old daughter gets this feeling of not being able to breath and thinking her throats swelling up. Shes very healthy and active and a normal child. I use to get panic attacks but learnt to handle them and think about something else. M y daughter keeps asking is she going to die and im getting really worried. Her mom says to her everything is ok and i say calm down but i know how it feels. Whats the best thing to do and what could be causing this.
yes its completely possible, i have a very close friend who suffered the same symptoms.
However as far as I am aware there is nothing that can get rid of it, but you can let her undergo all sorts of help so that it doesnt occur as often.
my advice would be to seek help from a specialist.

How long for anti-anxiety meds to kick in?
I just took the anti anxiety medication Lorazepam for the first time after it was prescribed to be earlier this week. I started suffering a bad panic attack about 10 min ago and took the 1.0mg of the medication right away. Does anyone know how long it takes for this stuff to kick in? My doc told me I’m going to want to double the dose if I get desperate, but not to so I wont, but I just want it to hurry up and work!
Lorazepam AKA Ativan is a short acting benzo so the on set for the medication should be fairly soon in fact by the time I answer this you should be feeling the tingles lol. People vary by metabolism though, personally when I’m in the heat of an attack and the drug is my last option sublingual is the way to go. There’s much research you can do on the web to understand it, and should help you take your mind off the anxiety til the med kicks in. Also if you haven’t experimented with marijuana(I know it’s illegal) for most people it’s a faster and healthier way to relieve your anxiety. I take that route more often to avoid bezo withdrawals, not to get high. Hope the anxiety leaves your life soon. Peace, and goodluck.

what was ur experience on provera?
And i dont mean depo-provera( thats a form of birth control) My dr put me on this medication called provera for 5 days to induce a period. Since i have been very irregular since i stopped taking the birth control pill. My husband and i have been TTc for over 7 months and no luck. sorry i posted this again but people were getting it confused with depo provera. Its NOT that. Has anybody ever taken the provera to induce period and then became pregnant?
This pill is from the devil. I hated it.. I took it for 10 days just as my MD said. I came off BC in june and didn’t have period for july.
It has been a week since my last pill and still nothing. It made me depressed and I felt drunk. I hated it. I have a very stressful job and it didn’t allow me to focus like i normally can.
My OBGYN said it can take up to two weeks to get your period. Then your period will be VERY heavy and can last up to 2 weeks. Your are supposed to get a regular monthly period after taking this.
Most MD will then prescribe clomid if your not ovulating. My MD would like to wait to see if my body regulates it’s self before giving me Clomid.

I am afraid, terrified, scared, and clueless as to what to do about it?? help?
I have ear infections in both of my ears and my doctor prescribed that i take pills and ear drops. I used to have ear infections alot when i was little and i hated ear drops then and i hate them now. I don’t know why i am so afraid of taking ear drops! i start bawling and screaming and my heart beats so fast. I have what you can call a “phobia”? can anyone please explain to me why i am so afraid of such a non-scary thing? the thought of it doesnt scare me, but when i go to actually put them in then i am TERRIFIED. can you tell me why? and can you also maybe tell me how to cure this please? thankyou everyone! ?
oh and by the way, i dont put them in on my own, my mom does it for me. just letting you know!

the ear drops dont hurt at all, i am just afriad of them.
aw ): maybe you are scared because you were scared of them as a child. Try having someone else do it for you so you wont have to do it yourself. Keep reassuring yourself! “They’re only ear drops” pretend its water! hope this helps, good luck<3

urgent! what are symptoms of breast cancer?
im 13, there are small lumps and almost like pimples in between my chest.. they arent pimples or zits cuz they dont appear red.. they are purple and one is dark purple.. i feel fatuige. ive have migrains for a while.. ive tried doing a self breeast examine but idk if i am doing it correctly, i do feel something but i cant be sure what it is. i have started feeling dizzniess and my eyes have started become affected by bright light . idk if there are any eairly symptoms or warning signs. i need help..

Fibrocystic changes of the breast are very common in the adolescent population. Physical examination findings may reveal discrete breast cysts or diffuse small lumps throughout. Breast tenderness and heaviness may be experienced, especially before your menstrual period. Avoid caffeine, which can worsen cysts. Fibrocystic changes are many times hormone related as is migraine headaches as well. Dizziness, photosensitivity (light sensitivity), nausea are all symptoms from migraine headaches. Again both of your symptoms…the breast lumps and headaches w/ light sensitivity and dizziness are probably hormone related. Google “migraines and hormones” and “hormones and breast lumps in adolescents”. It is extremely rare for a 13yr old to have breast cancer, but I also think that your concerns should be communicated to you mother. If the headaches persist and are frequent they should be addressed by your doctor, and breast lumps should also be monitored. Google those subjects above, a diet regimen may help deter worsening symptoms, but while your body is hitting puberty…estrogen a female hormone is reeking havoc on your body at this point.

Can Prempro cause increased hair on face,abdomen & arms?
I started taking Prempro a year & half ago. I am 53. Within 2 months I had red bumps on my abdomen. It turned out they were hairs growing sideways(ingrown Hairs). They are like whiskers. Then I got them on the side of my face. Now I have them on my arms! They are extremely sore & itch until you can get the hair to surface and pluck. Then it feels like you just took out a thorn! Total relief! I have been told people with curly hair are more prone to ingrown hairs, but this is ridiculous. I know it is common to have a whisker now & then on your face after menopause, but when they are ingrown it takes weeks to get them to heal. Could my taking Prempro have started this mess? Do you think a lower dose would eliminate the excess hair while still taking care of the hot flashes/night sweats? Anyone else out there with this problem?
Yes, the PremPro could have something to do with this. I would recommend checking with your doctor as well for further information to see what they say.

Coping with rage and panic attacks?
Okay so I’m so angry and upset that I’m shaking and my heart rate is skyrocketing…and I’m trying to breathe but that’s not good enough.
I’m trying to sit this out on the computer until I calm down, because I don’t want to end up hurting myself or something/someone else really bad.
Have you ever been this angry? What did you do to get through this in the short-term?
Deep breathing is always good. Try breathing in through one nostril and out of the other. It is a good idea to stay home.
